To provide a modified material input amount calculation method and a modified material input amount calculation device, capable of calculating optimal input amount of a modified material depending on weight and moisture content of soil.SOLUTION: Before a soil type determination process S-14, a first molding process S-11 for putting a first roller (roller) to an upper part of a decontamination soil (soil) transported by a belt conveyor (transport device), a second molding process S-12 for putting a molding sheet with a flat sheet shape to the upper part of the decontamination soil transported by the belt conveyor after the first molding process S-11 in a direction of crossover with an upper surface of the decontamination soil, and a post-molding state determination process S-13 for determining distance by a surface of the decontamination soil after the second molding process S-12 (state of sol) at a plurality of locations per unit are conducted, and in the soil type determination process S-14, soil type is determined from the distance by the surface of the decontamination soil at the plurality of locations per unit measured in the post-molding state determination process S-13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
