To provide an auto door sensor, an auto door system and a control method of the auto door sensor with high detection capability even in a position other than a fully opened door position.SOLUTION: An auto door sensor and an auto door system are provided with acquiring means to acquire a stop position of a door and setting means for setting a protection detecting area in at least part of an expected moving area where at least a part of the door is expected to move in a travel direction of the stopped door after the door stops based on the acquired stop position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
