IN-VEHICLE UNIT, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE, COMMUNICATION PROCESSING METHOD AND CONTROL PROGRAM
To provide an in-vehicle unit that allows for increase in a transmission range of a signal to be transmitted from a vehicle to a portable unit and allows for elimination of the problem of a dead zone range and that can perform radio communication with the portable unit within the increased transmission range.SOLUTION: The in-vehicle unit causes at least two transmission antenna and indoor antenna disposed on a vehicle so as to be separated from each other to transmit signals and, in response to a response signal from a portable unit having received the transmitted signals, performs processing. The in-vehicle unit comprises: a transmission control part causing the two transmission antennas to simultaneously transmit the signals; a strength change part that when no response signal in response to the signals caused to be transmitted from the two transmission antennas is received from the portable unit, changes transmission strength of the indoor antenna so that the portable unit outside the vehicle can receive the signals; and an indoor transmission control part causing the indoor antenna to transmit a signal using the transmission strength changed by the strength change part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
