CASTABLE REFRACTORY
To provide a castable refractory containing a silicon carbide raw material, having stable thermal insulation properties.SOLUTION: A castable refractory comprises each of 20 to 50 mass% of a silicon carbide raw material having a grain size of 1 mm or more, 2 to 15 mass% or fine alumina powder having a grain size of 1 to 10 μm, and 1 to 8 mass% of superfine silica powder having a grain size of less than 1 μm, relative to 100 mass% of the refractory raw material. The content of alumina cement is 15 mass% or less (including 0) and the content of silicon carbide raw material having a particle size of less than 1 mm is 5 mass% or less (including 0) relative to 100 mass% of the refractory raw material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
