To provide a method for producing a molding whose surface can be formed with fine ruggedness by a ceramic, a metal or a metal oxide, and a molding.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a molding 100 in which at least a part of the surface of an objective article 10 is provided with at least either a recessed part or a projecting part composed of at least one kind selected from a group consisting of a ceramic, a metal and a metallic compound, comprising: a step where a composition 20 containing a photocurable resin and particles of at least one kind selected from a group consisting of a ceramic, a metal and a metallic compound is applied to an objective article 10 or a mold 30 having at least either a recessed part or a projecting part on the surface; a step where the objective article 10 and the mold 30 are pressed via the composition 20; a step where the pressed composition 20 is photo-cured; and a step where the photo-cured composition 20 is sintered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
