VEHICLE POSITION DETERMINATION SYSTEM
To provide a position determination system for a vehicle capable of reducing the possibility of erroneous determination of the position of a portable terminal.SOLUTION: The on-vehicle system includes an external communication device 12 for performing wireless communication (that is, short distance communication) directly with a portable terminal 90 located outside the vehicle and the portable terminal, and an in-vehicle communication device 13 for near field communication with portable terminal 90 and portable terminal existing in the vehicle compartment. The outdoor communication device 12 is disposed in the middle of the surface of a metal B pillar 24B facing the outdoor. an in-vehicle communication device 13 is disposed near the center console. When the strength outside the vehicle is higher than the strength inside the vehicle, the position determination unit determines that the portable terminal is present outside the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
