SAND REMOVAL DEVICE OF SAND SEDIMENTATION POND
To provide a sand removal device effective for further reducing a stop frequency of a sand lifting pump in removal sand.SOLUTION: A sand removal device of a sand sedimentation pond starts operation of a sand lifting pump disposed at a sand collection pit, when a water surface in the sand sedimentation pond becomes predetermined high water level or more. The sand removal device of the sand sedimentation pond makes sediment deposited on a bottom surface of the sand sedimentation pond flow to a main trough, by injecting low pressure water by a nozzle into the bottom surface of the sand sedimentation pond, while keeping the sand sedimentation pond in a draining state. The sand removal device of the sand sedimentation pond stops the operation of the sand lifting pump when the water surface in the sand sedimentation pond becomes predetermined low water level, by pumping up its collected sediment together with water by the sand lifting pump, by further collecting to the sand collection pit. In the sand removal device of the sand sedimentation pond, the predetermined high water level is set between the highest point of the bottom surface of the sand sedimentation pond and the lowest point of the main trough.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
