To provide a cushioning material for a road sign pole capable of preventing a vehicle entering an on-coming lane or side strip without causing major damage to the vehicle or injury to occupants, on an express highway medial strip or the like, and in particular on a bridge or in a tunnel.SOLUTION: A cushioning material 1 for a road sign pole is integrally formed of a foamable synthetic resin material. A plurality of insertion holes 100 are disposed on a lower surface part 10 into which multiple road sign poles 2 installed on a road are respectively fitted. The multiple road sign poles 2 are inserted into the multiple insertion holes 100 to constitute a buffer wall including the multiple road sign poles 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
