To provide an imitation rush manufacturing method that has higher mechanical strength, durability and cushioning property, and an imitation rush manufacturing method that has a more delicate color change and higher designability.SOLUTION: An imitation rush manufacturing method comprises: a process to twist thermoplastic resin tape-like bodies 33, 33' that are uniaxially extended in a lengthwise direction; and a process to pass multiple twisted tape-like bodies through a cavity of a heating member 7 having a narrow cavity in order to irregularly bond and converge the tape-like bodies to each other and form a fusion coat on the surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
