To provide a packing device for increasing a safety of a sliding door and for fixing the packing device body to the sliding door securely.SOLUTION: A packing device 20 is mounted to a notch part 12 of a sliding door 10. The packing device 20 has a packing device body 21 with a U-shaped cross section and engaging parts 23a and 23b arranged inside of the packing device body 21 and engaging with engaging rails 13a and 13b of the sliding door 10. The packing device body 21 covers both side edges of the notch part 12 and a part 11a of a step part 16 side of a projection part 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
