To provide a post for a water immersion preventing device in which a construction is easy in introducing the water immersion preventing device and which can be easily and quickly installed in a structure.SOLUTION: A post 20 is installed in a structure S and holds a water cutoff sheet 30. The post 20 includes a post body portion 21 holding the water cutoff sheet 30 and a flange portion 22 connected to the post body portion 21.
