To provide a simple door opening prevention device configured to lock an open-front door of a refrigerator or a storage shelf in the event of an earthquake for preventing stored items stored in the refrigerator or the storage shelf from popping out, and to provide a door opening prevention device that allows a door to be opened by easily resetting a state in which the opening prevention device is activated and the door is locked.SOLUTION: A door opening prevention device, which is configured to lock an open-front door of a fixture in the event of an earthquake, includes a main body mounting portion mounted to a main body of the fixture and a door mounting portion mounted to the door. The main body mounting portion has a housing, a housing lid, and a mechanism portion accommodated in the housing. The door mounting portion has a door engagement portion. The mechanism portion has a sphere body that rolls due to vibration, a rolling portion on which the sphere body under rolling rests, a sphere body receiving portion that stops the rolling of the sphere body, a main engagement portion engaging with the door engagement portion in a state of the sphere body being entered in the sphere body receiving portion, and a sphere body control portion that controls movement of the sphere body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
