Provided is a door opening prevention device which is mountable irrespective of the shape and material of the periphery of a door plate. A door opening prevention device 1 prevents the opening of a door having a door plate provided with a door knob, and is provided with an affixation section 10, a blocking section 20, and a connection section 30. The affixation section 10 is the portion of the door opening prevention device 1, which is adapted to be affixed to the door plate. The blocking section 20 is the portion of the door opening prevention device 1, which blocks the movement of the door knob. The connection section 30 is the portion of the door opening prevention device 1, which connects the affixation section 10 and the blocking section 20.
