To provide a manufacturing method of a multilayer ceramic capacitor that is highly reliable even when a high voltage is applied and a multilayer ceramic capacitor.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a laminating step of forming a laminate by alternately stacking a green sheet containing Ca and Zr using, as a main component, a ceramic material having a perovskite structure represented by the general formula ABOand containing an alkali metal, and a conductive paste for forming an internal electrode layer containing Cu as a main component, having a ceramic co-material, and having no alkali metal, and a firing step of firing the laminate to obtain a ceramic laminate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
