To allow an opening/closing operation of a sash to be undertaken made in an easy way without being restricted by the place of installation even for a fitting installed at a high position.SOLUTION: An opening/closing operation device 50 for operating an operator unit 30, which operates to open a sash 10 relative to a frame 20 when a rotational operation force in the opening direction is applied, and which operates to close the sash 10 relative to the frame 20 when a rotational operation force in the closing direction is applied, includes a cylindrical outer peripheral cable 81, a center cable portion 82 arranged movably relative to the inside of the cylinder of the outer peripheral cable portion 81, an output shaft 65 connected to an operator unit 30, an opening operation mechanism connected to the center cable 82 and operated by pulling operation of the center cable 82 to rotate the output shaft 65 in the opening direction, and a closing operation mechanism connected to the outer peripheral cable 81 and operated by pulling operation of the outer peripheral cable 81 to rotate the output shaft 65 in the closing direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
