To provide a buffer capable of effectively absorbing energy with respect to a plurality of times of impact inputting, and to provide a mounting structure of a buffer.SOLUTION: A buffer 1 includes a buffer body part 10. The buffer body part includes: an elastic material part 110 comprising an elastic material; and a plastic material part 120 made of a high damping material having an equivalent viscous damping factor heq higher than that of the elastic material or of a plastic material. The elastic material part and the plastic material part are arranged adjacent to each other in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the buffer, and they are constituted integrally with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
