To cause a door closer to be reduced in cost and dimensions while enabling to grasp the state of the door properly.SOLUTION: In a door closer, a first engaging portion that engages with a pawl in an open state, a second engaging portion that engages with the pawl in a half latched state, and a third engaging portion that engages with the pawl in a full latched state are formed in a latch in such an order in the circumferential direction. The pawl pivots in one direction around the axis of a rotary shaft as it engages with the first, second and third engaging portions of the latch in such an order, and pivots in the other direction opposite to the one direction around the axis of the rotary shaft as it disengages from the third and second engaging portions, so that the rotational position of the pawl is detected by a single rotational position detector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】ドアの状態を適正に把握可能としつつ、ドアクローザのコストダウン化およびコンパクト化を図る。【解決手段】ドアクローザでは、オープン状態でポールと係合する第1係合部と、ハーフラッチ状態でポールと係合する第2係合部と、フルラッチ状態でポールと係合する第3係合部とが周方向に順番に並ぶようにラッチに形成され、ポールは、ラッチの第1、第2および第3係合部と順番に係合するのに伴って回動軸の軸心の周りに一方向に回動すると共に、第3および第2係合部との係合が解除されるのに伴って回動軸の軸心の周りに当該一方向とは反対側の他方向に回動し、単一の回動位置検知器によりポールの回動位置が検知される。【選択図】図2
