A door closer for mounting between a door leaf and a door frame, the door closer comprising: an elongate housing for mounting in one of the door leaf or door frame, the elongate housing having opposite forward and rear end parts, an elongate member disposed in and movable within the housing in a direction extending between the forward and rear end parts, the elongate member having a rear end portion, a spring biasing element disposed in the housing and applying a biasing force to the rear end portion thereby to bias the elongate member towards the rear end part, a tension member having a first end connected to the elongate member and a second end connected to an anchor element assembly, the anchor element assembly comprising a mounting member for mounting in the other of the door leaf or door frame, the tension member and anchor element assembly forming a tension assembly which extends through the forward end part, and a trigger mechanism for latching the rear end portion to hold the elongate member in a forward position against the bias of the spring biasing element and unlatching the rear end portion to cause the spring biasing element to move the elongate member towards the rear end part and to a rearward position, wherein the trigger mechanism comprises a latch member comprising a latch surface and a trigger engaging surface, a trigger member having a trigger surface, and an electric actuator mechanically connected to the trigger member, wherein the latch member is movable between a latched position, at which the latch surface is positioned to engage the rear end portion and thereby hold the elongate member in the forward position, and an unlatched position, at which the latch surface is positioned to disengage the rear end portion to permit the spring biasing element to move the elongate member rearwardly to the rearward position.

L'invention concerne un ferme-porte qui est destiné à être monté entre un battant de porte et un cadre de porte. Ledit ferme-porte comprend : un logement allongé destiné à être monté dans l'un entre le battant de porte et le cadre de porte, le logement allongé ayant des parties d'extrémité avant et arrière opposées ; un élément allongé disposé dans le logement et mobile à l'intérieur du logement dans une direction s'étendant entre les parties d'extrémité avant et arrière, l'élément allongé ayant une partie d'extrémité arrière ; un élément de sollicitation de ressort disposé dans le logement et appliquant une force de sollicitation à la partie d'extrémité arrière pour ainsi solliciter l'élément allongé vers la partie d'extrémité arrière ; un élément de tension ayant une première extrémité reliée à l'élément allongé et une seconde extrémité reliée à un ensemble élément d'ancrage, l'ensemble élément d'ancrage comprenant un élément de montage destiné à être monté dans l'autre élément parmi le battant de porte ou le cadre de porte, l'élément de tension et l'ensemble élément d'ancrage formant un ensemble de tension qui s'étend à travers la partie d'extrémité avant ; et un mécanisme de déclenchement permettant de verrouiller la partie d'extrémité arrière afin de maintenir l'élément allongé dans une position avant contre la sollicitation de l'élément de sollicitation de ressort et de déverrouiller la partie d'extrémité arrière afin d'amener l'élément de sollicitation de ressort à déplacer l'élément allongé vers la partie d'extrémité arrière et vers une position arrière. Le mécanisme de déclenchement comprend un élément de verrouillage comportant une surface de verrouillage et une surface de mise en prise de déclenchement, un élément déclencheur ayant une surface de déclenchement, et un actionneur électrique relié mécaniquement à l'élément déclencheur. L'élément de verrouillage est mobile entre une position verrouillée, au niveau de laquelle la surface de verrouillage est positionnée pour venir en prise avec la partie d'extrémité arrière et maintenir ainsi l'élément allongé dans la position avant, et une position déverrouillée, au niveau de laquelle la surface de verrouillage est positionnée pour se désolidariser de la partie d'extrémité arrière pour permettre à l'élément de sollicitation de ressort de déplacer l'élément allongé vers l'arrière à la position arrière.
