To provide an opening/closing stay capable of ensuring sufficient sealability between a framework and a closing plate and ensuring a sufficient opening angle when the closing plate is closed while preventing contact between a base of the closing plate and the opposite framework.SOLUTION: This opening/closing stay comprises: a base 1 that is fixed to a framework 6; a mounting plate 2 that is fixed to a closing plate 5 supported on the framework 6 to oscillate; a pair of arms 3, 4 that are supported so as to be turnable adjacently to the base 1 in the longitudinal direction. The mounting plate 2 comprises a fixed bearing that rotatably supports a turning area of the arm 3 of the pair of arms 3, 4, and a slide guide that slidably supports the end of a turning area of the arm 4. Gears engaged with each other to rotate about the turning axis of each arms 3, 4 are provided to the pair of arms 3, 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
