To provide: a door opening/closing state detection unit which allows an existing door without having a door opening/closing detection function to detect a door opening/closing state in an easy way; and a door with an opening/closing detection function which is provided with the door opening/closing state detection unit.SOLUTION: A door opening/closing state detection unit 1 is configured to be attachable to an outer surface 23 of a plate-shaped door 2 having a latch bolt, the door opening/closing state detection unit 1 for detecting an opening/closing state of the door 2 including: an infrared LED 31 radiating light, in state of being mounted to the door 2, toward a door tip 25 of the door 2; a light detection unit 32 provided with a photodiode 321 for detecting light from the direction of the door tip 25; and an opening/closing detection unit 141 for detecting the opening/closing state of the door 2 on the basis of whether or not the light detection unit 32 detects the light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
