DEMOLITION METHOD FOR STEEL TOWER- SUPPORTED CHIMNEY AND DEMOLISHING DEVICE FOR STEEL TOWER-SUPPORTED CHIMNEY
To provide a safer demolition method for steel tower-supported chimney.SOLUTION: The demolition method is provided that includes the steps of: installing, inside a chimney, a lifting and lowering device having an upper platform; lifting and lowering the lifting and lowering device to a predetermined position, then cutting the chimney at a first chimney position and removing the cut first chimney part; installing a first unit having three or more expansion members on the upper platform of the lifting and lowering device, wherein each expansion member is expandable so as to project substantially horizontally from the steel tower; expanding each expansion member of the first unit to thereby project each expansion member substantially horizontally from the steel tower; installing a first scaffold on the expansion member in such a way that the first scaffold surrounds the steel tower while supported by the expansion member; cutting the steel tower at the first steel tower cutting position and removing the cut first steel tower portion; and removing the first scaffold and the first unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
