To provide a vehicle for railroad maintenance capable of performing tamping work independently.SOLUTION: A vehicle for railroad maintenance 1 for performing a tamping operation to crush crushed stones spread under a sleeper supporting a rail, comprises: a tamping unit 30 that crushes crushed stones; a type storage unit 50 that stores type information for sleepers in association with a distance from a reference position on a rail set in advance; and a depth control part that controls the tamping depth for inserting the tamping unit 30 into the crushed stone. The depth control part controls the tamping depth with respect to the sleeper in accordance with the type information stored in the type storage unit 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】独立してタンピング作業を行うことが可能な線路保守用車両を提供する。【解決手段】レールを支持する枕木の下に敷き詰められた砕石を突き固めるタンピング作業を行う線路保守用車両１であって、砕石を突き固めるタンピング部３０と、予め設定したレール上の基準位置からの距離に関連付けて枕木の種別に関する情報を記憶している種別記憶部５０と、タンピング部３０を砕石へ挿入するタンピング深さを制御する深さ制御部を備え、深さ制御部は、種別記憶部５０が記憶している種別に関する情報に応じて、枕木に対するタンピング深さを制御する。【選択図】図１
