To provide a placement foundation capable of easily changing weight in a state where an appearance shape of a fixed height is held.SOLUTION: This placement foundation provided to the lower end side of a pillar 2 of a structure so as to support the pillar 2 comprises: a backing plate 10; an upper engaging plate 30 that is supported with a space upward from the backing plate 10; and a rod-like weight body 40 of a prescribed length which is erected on the backing plate 10 and the upper end side of which is supported by the upper engaging plate 30. A plurality of backing plates 10 are provided side by side in a roughly horizontal direction, and each backing plate is detachably engaged with the upper engaging plate 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
