GROOVE TYPE INDUCTOR
To provide a groove type inductor with groove lining having resistance to chemical aggression by a molten metal in a groove and capable of preventing cracks when being used in a production plant.SOLUTION: A groove type inductor of a groove type induction furnace comprises: (a) a groove lining; (b) a support lining supporting the groove lining in such a manner that the integration of the groove lining is not damaged during the heating, drying or operation of the groove type induction furnace. The material of the groove lining is selected in such as manner that chemical reaction is brought out between the groove lining material and a molten metal, and the chemical reaction brings out the formation of a phase having higher density by the groove lining.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
