To provide a derailment prevention device that has sufficient strength and can reliably perform a derailment prevention function of a railway vehicle, and has sufficient electrical insulation even at locations corresponding to a rail insulation splice plate in a derailment prevention guard.SOLUTION: It is provided with an insulating guard member 22 disposed on a missing line part 21b of a derailment prevention guard, and a supporting device 31 for supporting the insulating guard member 22, the insulating guard member 22 being made of a material having an electrical insulation property and disposed opposite to an insulating splice plate 12 of a rail 11, and the supporting device 31 being attached to a railroad tie 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
