To provide a technology capable of mounting an interior panel with respect to an installation object easily, in an interior wall structure for constructing an interior wall of a building using a plurality of interior panels.SOLUTION: An interior wall structure of a building includes: a plurality of interior panels for constituting an interior wall; a backing rail member on which the plurality of interior panels can be mounted along the longer direction; and an engaging member provided on a rear surface of the interior panel. The backing rail member includes: a receiving part for detachably receiving the engaging member; and a slide holding part for holding the engaging member received from the receiving part slidably along the longer direction of the backing rail member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
