To transmit whether a hook is stored in a hook storing space to a controller using a radio signal.SOLUTION: A hydraulic shovel having a crane function includes: a hook holding mechanism 31 provided in a hook storing space 25 of a bucket link 15 and holding a hook 26 in the hook storing space 25; a displacement plate 42 provided in the hook holding mechanism 31 and displaced by the hook 26 stored in the hook storing space 25; a hook detection device 45 detecting whether the hook 26 is in the hook storing space 25 according to displacement of the displacement plate 42; and a controller 62 performing a control to switch between an excavation work mode and a crane work mode according to a detection result of the hook detection device 45. The hook detection device 45 is constituted as one unit including: a sensor portion 45A detecting the displacement plate 42 and outputting a signal; an antenna portion 45C transmitting the output of the sensor portion 45A to the controller 62 as a radio signal; and a power source portion 45B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
