To provide an inorganic fibrous molded body having high strength and excellent in abrasion resistance, excellent in heat spalling resistance, easily being handled, having almost no debris, cavity and crack, having almost no change of a shape or the like even when repeatedly used at a high temperature, and excellent in processability.SOLUTION: There is provided a ceramic powder (excluding a boron compound) preferably having percentage content of a ceramic fiber consisting of at least one kind of a silica fiber, an alumina fiber, a silica alumina fiber, and an organism soluble fiber of 10 to 60 mass%, percentage content of colloidal silica of 1.0 to 10 mass% in terms of a solid component, percentage content of a boron compound of 1.0 to 10 mass% in terms of boron oxide, and the balance MgO.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】 高強度で耐摩耗性に優れ、耐熱スポーリング性に優れ、ハンドリングしやすく、異物、空隙、及び亀裂等がほとんどなく、高温で繰り返し使用しても形状等の変化がほとんどなく、加工性に優れた無機繊維質成形体を提供する。【解決手段】 好適にはシリカ繊維、アルミナ繊維、シリカアルミナ繊維及び生体溶解性繊維のうちの少なくとも1種からなるセラミックス繊維の含有率が10〜60質量%、コロイダルシリカの含有率が固形分換算で1.0〜10質量%、ホウ素化合物の含有率が酸化ホウ素換算で1.0〜10質量%であり、残部が少なくともMgOを含むセラミックス粉末(ホウ素化合物を除く)である。【選択図】 なし
