To provide an exterior material where the exterior material such as a diagonal roofing exterior material can reliably fix upstream side top sections on bearing members disposed at equal intervals on a substrate relative to the bearing members.SOLUTION: In exterior materials 1 where plural bearing members 2 are placed on a substrate 4 disposed at equal intervals (EI) in the flow direction, face plate parts 11 have a wide diamond shape with two pairs of equal internal angles opposed to each other, a long diagonal 112 connecting two acute angles 114 and 114 has a length across two bearing member 2 and 2 intervals (2EI) at least adjacent to each other, upstream side top sections 115 of the exterior materials 1 can be mounted on the bearing members 2, the upstream side top sections 115 and downstream side top sections can be positioned on the same bearing members 2, and corner parts 114 of both sides can be positioned on adjacent bearing members 2 at horizontal bearing members 2, and two sides forming an obtuse angle 113 located on the upstream side top sections 115 are bent to the front side to be set as an engaged part 12 as well as two sides forming an obtuse angle 113 located on the opposed downstream side top sections are bent to the rear side to be set as an engaging part 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】菱葺き外装材等の外装材を、下地に等間隔に配設した支持部材に対し、水上側頂部を支持部材上にて確実に固定できる外装材を提供する。【解決手段】複数の支持部材2を流れ方向に沿うように等間隔(EI)にて配設した下地4上に敷設する外装材1にあって、面板部11は、対向する二組の内角が等しい横長の菱形状であり、二つの鋭角114,114を結ぶ長対角線112が少なくとも隣接する二つの支持部材2,2間隔(2EI)に跨る長さを有し、外装材1の水上側頂部115は、支持部材2上にて取り付け可能であり、水上側頂部115及び水下側頂部は同じ支持部材2上に、両側方の角部(114)は支持部材2の左右に隣り合う支持部材2上にそれぞれ配置でき、水上側頂部115に位置する鈍角113を形成する二辺を表面側に折曲して被係合部12とすると共に対向する水下側頂部に位置する鈍角113を形成する二辺を裏面側に折曲して係合部13とする。【選択図】図1
