To provide a conveyance type charnel house which can be operated at low cost, which can store urn boxes in a limited space with a high density, and which can make worshippers smoothly visit a grave.SOLUTION: A conveyance type charnel house includes: a warehouse storing urn boxes in which ashes and urns containing ashes are housed; a worship floor for visiting the urn box; and a transportation passage transporting the urn box between the warehouse and the worship floor. In the warehouse, a storage shelf storing the urn box, and a transportation robot transporting the storage shelf are disposed. The transportation passage comprises transportation means including taking in/out means taking out the urn box from the storage shelf transported by the transportation robot and taking in the urn box to the storage shelf.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
