WATER RETENTIVE PAVEMENT STRUCTURE
To provide a water retentive pavement structure capable of economically sustaining a cooling effect on a pavement surface while maintaining a high water retention performance.SOLUTION: A water retentive pavement suitable for sidewalks that has both a rainwater storage function and a cooling function due to the rising action of water capillaries, includes at least: a permeable base material layer 30 formed on a roadbed 20; and a water permeable pavement layer 60 (water absorbing/water storing block or water permeable asphalt) formed above the permeable base material layer 30. The permeable base material layer is constructed by combining: a lower base layer 31 composed of a group of aggregates adhered by coating the surface of angular grains 32 with a coating layer 33 containing a naturally-derived wetting material having an acidic functional group; and an upper alternative base layer 35 composed of a group of inexpensive aggregates that functions as a substitute material for the lower base layer 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】高い保水性能を維持しつつ、舗装面の冷却効果を経済的に持続できる、保水性舗装路の構造を提供すること。【解決手段】雨水の貯留機能と水の毛管上昇作用による冷却機能を併有した歩道に適した保水性舗装路であって、少なくとも路床20上に形成された透水基盤材層30と、該透水基盤材層30の上方に形成された透水舗装層60(吸水・保水ブロックまたは透水アスファルト)とからなり、角粒体32の表面を酸性官能基を有する自然由来の湿潤物質を含むコーティング層33で被覆して付着させた骨材群からなる下位基盤層31と、下位基盤層31の代替材として機能させる安価な骨材群からなる上位代替基盤層35とを組み合せて構成されている。【選択図】図1
