CLAY COMPOSITION FOR LOW TEMPERATURE FIRING
To provide a clay composition for low temperature firing containing obsidian as a solid matter in the amount of 75 to 85 wt.% capable of firing a clay molded product to produce a clay fired product that keeps the shape thereof, and the clay fired product using the clay composition for low temperature firing and a producing method thereof.SOLUTION: The clay composition for low temperature firing contains the obsidian having a particle size of 50 μm or less as a solid matter in the amount of 75 to 85 wt.%. The clay molded product obtained by molding the clay composition for low temperature firing into a desired shape can be fired in a temperature range of 900°C or lower to set. The obsidian may be a finely pulverized product having a particle size of 30 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】黒曜石を固形分含有量で７５〜８５重量％も含みながら、粘土成形品の形状が保持された粘土焼成品を焼成することが可能な低温焼成用粘土組成物、ならびに前記低温焼成用粘土組成物を用いた粘土焼成品およびその製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】粒度５０μｍ以下の粒状の黒曜石を、固形分として７５〜８５重量％含有することを特徴とする、低温焼成用粘土組成物。前記低温焼成用粘土組成物を所望の形状に成形した粘土成形物を９００℃以下の温度範囲で焼成して固化することができる。前記黒曜石は粒度３０μｍ以下の微粉砕物であってもよい。【選択図】なし
