To disclose a method and a device for selecting a target excavation point.SOLUTION: In one concrete embodiment of this method, the method includes the steps of: acquiring a height graph of a material stack; obtaining an aggregation of excavation points by discretizing the height graph; acquiring an aggregation of excavation trajectories of the excavation points in the aggregation of the excavation points; and selecting a target excavation point on the basis of the aggregation of the excavation trajectories of the excavation points in the aggregation of the excavation points. In this embodiment, since the method selects the target excavation point on the basis of the excavation trajectories, the rationality of the target excavation point can be secured, and the efficiency of excavation can be enhanced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
