To provide a technology that can freely select and install a click mechanism, a braking mechanism, and a stopper mechanism onto the rotation axis.SOLUTION: A rotary shaft device 1 is installed onto the rotation shaft that rotates the slat in the horizontal type blind device, including: a rotary cylindrical member 10 that is a member that cylindrically extends in the axial direction and rotates with a rotary shaft 114 in the condition that it is attached to the rotary shaft 114; and an engagement mechanism 4 that is engaged with the rotary cylindrical member 10. The engagement mechanism 4 includes at least one of the following: an impact generation mechanism that imparts impact onto the rotary cylindrical member 10 following the rotation of the rotary cylindrical member 10; a rotation braking mechanism that brakes the rotation of the rotary cylindrical member 10; a rotation prevention mechanism that prevents excess rotation of the rotary cylindrical member 10. The rotary cylindrical member 10 includes: a first engagement part 41 that is serially engaged with the impact generation mechanism along the axis; a second engagement part 51 that is engaged with the rotation braking mechanism; and a third engagement part 61 that is engaged with the rotation prevention mechanism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
