BOARDING BRIDGE
To propose a boarding bridge capable of avoiding contact with an obstacle around an entrance of a ship or an aircraft and capable of avoiding damage even when contacting with the obstacle.SOLUTION: A boarding bridge includes a passage body, a gangway footplate bridged between the floor of a doorway of the passage body and the floor of an entrance of an aircraft or a ship, and a movable roof covering the upper part of the gangway footplate. The movable roof has: a first roof and a second roof, which overlap in the vertical direction; a first linear guide for guiding the movement of the first roof so that the first roof moves forward and backward in a first direction with respect to the passage body; a second linear guide for guiding the movement of the second roof so that the second roof advances and retracts in a second direction with respect to the first roof, in which the second direction is defined to be parallel to the first direction in a plan view and to be tilted from the horizontal such that it becomes lower as it advances; a drive unit that transmits power to the first roof to move the first roof forward and backward; and a rope connected to the second roof for pulling the second roof upward in the second direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
