To provide a ceiling plate support device that can improve the efficiency of the ceiling plate removal work, reduce noise when removing the ceiling plate, and enable an operator to perform the work safely.SOLUTION: A ceiling plate support device 1 is used when removing a ceiling plate 8 fixed to a ceiling joist 9 from the ceiling joist 9, and includes a main body portion 2 for supporting the ceiling plate 8 in which a pair of main surfaces 81 and 81 and an end surface 82 connecting the pair of main surfaces 81 and 81 are formed.
