To provide a fire shutter device that enables persons to evacuate quickly while achieving disaster prevention.SOLUTION: A shutter device 100 for opening and closing an opening 901 comprises a shutter curtain 11 that descends to close the opening 901 and ascends to open the opening 901, a determination part for determining the presence/absence of smoke between a tip 15 of the shutter curtain 11 and a floor surface, and a movement control part for controlling the movement of the shutter curtain 11 based on determination results of the determination part. The movement control part makes the shutter curtain 11 descend until the determination part determines that smoke is not present between the tip 15 of the shutter curtain 11 and the floor surface, and comprises an imaging device 21 for taking an image of the lower side of the shutter curtain 11. The determination part determines the presence/absence of smoke based on imaging results of the imaging device 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
