To provide a building material for a floor capable of reassuring a stable color tone quality while having incombustibility.SOLUTION: The building material for a floor 10 according to the embodiment is formed by laminating a thermoplastic resin compact 2 on a woody base material 3, the thermoplastic resin compact 2 contains a thermoplastic resin, inorganic material and a color pigment. The content of the inorganic material is in a range of equal to or greater than 15 mass % and equal to or smaller than 90 mass % based on the mass of the thermoplastic resin compact 2 and the content of the color pigment is in a range of greater than 0 mass % and equal to or smaller than 10 mass % based on the mass of the thermoplastic resin compact 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
