CERAMIC FILTER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
To provide a method for manufacturing a ceramic filter that is tall and used for removing foreign substances from molten aluminum metal, and to provide the ceramic filter.SOLUTION: A ceramic filter is composed of a sintered compact of ceramic particles through which molten metal can be passed and is an integrally molded product of an upwardly open cylindrical type. A side wall 3 rises vertically from a bottom wall 5 and the side wall is 500 mm or more in height. Further, an upper edge of an upwardly open opening is covered with a protective film 7 composed of a material stable to the molten metal and its oxide and having a sintering temperature lower than the sintering temperature of the ceramic particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】アルミニウム金属溶湯から異物を除去するために使用するセラミックフィルタであって、背高のセラミックフィルタの製造方法、及び該セラミックフィルタの提供。【解決手段】金属溶湯を通湯可能なセラミック粒子の焼結体からなり、一体成型品の上方解放筒型のセラミックフィルタであって、その底壁5から側壁3が垂直に立ち上がり、かつ該側壁の高さが500mm以上である。さらに、上方に開放した開口部の上縁が、前記金属溶湯及びその酸化物に対して安定であって、かつ前記セラミック粒子の焼結温度より低い焼結温度の材料からなる保護膜7で被覆されている。【選択図】図3
