To provide a method for repairing steel pipe piles that can obtain sufficient strength by cutting the damaged section of an existing steel pipe pile, attaching a new steel pipe pile with the same diameter as that of the existing steel pipe pile by means of welding, and filling the inside of the steel pipe piles with a filler.SOLUTION: The method for repairing steel pipe piles includes the steps of: cutting a repair target section 9 of a steel pipe pile 1 that is installed in a water bottom ground; welding a new steel pipe pile 10 with the same diameter as that of the steel pipe pile 1 on the cut steel pipe pile 1 in a circumferential direction; draining water from inside of the steel pipe pile 1; and filling, with a filler, a filling space 21 between the steel pipe pile 1 and a small diameter pipe 11 fixed in the new steel pipe pile 10. The small diameter pipe 11 has at or around its lower end, a sealing section 14 that is provided so as to contact an inner peripheral surface of the steel pipe pile 1. The sealing section 14 divides an inside of the new steel pipe pile 10 and the steel pipe pile 1 into upper and lower sections and receives the filler.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
