To provide an apparatus for removal of sediment and suspended matter capable of effectively removing suspended matter which does not completely precipitate on the water surface and in the water.SOLUTION: A suspended matter removal apparatus installed in water with its bottom open includes water space (101) inside, a hood (1) with at least a part of its inner wall sloping downward and a drainage pipe (2) at or near the top of the hood for draining the water taken in the hood.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】水面及び水中において完全に沈降しきらない浮遊物を効果的に除去することができる沈降物、浮遊物の除去装置の提供。【解決手段】水中に設置され、下方が開放されるとともに、その内部には水を収容する空間（１０１）を有し、その内壁面の少なくとも一部が下方側に面して傾斜するように形成されたフード（１）を備え、フードの頂部ないし頂部付近にはフード内に取り込んだ水を排水する排水管（２）を備えた浮遊物除去装置。【選択図】図１
