To provide a traffic lane division fence installation method and a traffic lane division fence suitable for installation in a tunnel or on a bridge.SOLUTION: First, grooves 60a, 60b are formed on a road 6 along a traffic lane. Next, a traffic lane division fence 1, including a division wall 2 made of concrete such as reinforced concrete and a base plate 3 made of metal such as a steel plate which is attached to a bottom surface 21 of the division wall 2 and has convex parts 32a, 32b formed on a back surface 30 along the longitudinal direction of the division wall 2, is inserted into the grooves 60a, 60b of the road 6 by way of the convex parts 32a, 32b formed on the back surface 30 of the base plate 3. The plurality of traffic lane division fences 1 are arranged adjacently along the traffic lane and connected by a horizontal connection joint 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
