To provide a sliding wall having a ceiling rail with the lower surface located approximately flush with the ceiling surface and a partition panel movably suspended by the ceiling rail, which is capable of solving a problem that a pressuring body of the partition panel may damage the ceiling.SOLUTION: A partition panel 3 includes: a panel body 5 that is supported to horizontally rotate by the ceiling rail 2 via a suspended rod 67; pressuring bodies 6B provided at the upper end and the lower end of the panel body 5, respectively; pressuring body drive means 7 that causes the pressuring bodies 6B to elastically press-contact with the lower surface 2a and the floor surface of the ceiling rail 2; and an upward movement prohibition element 18 that is configured so as to, when the upper pressing body 6B moves upward toward the ceiling surface Cea in a crossed posture in which the panel body 5 is not parallel to the ceiling rail 2, come in contact with the lower surface 2a of ceiling rail 2 first to thereby prohibit contact of pressuring body 6B with the ceiling surface Cea.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 20
