To provide an unwinding/winding device allowing sheet-like material to be maintained in an unwinding status without depending on driving means unwinding the sheet-like material.SOLUTION: An unwinding/winding device for sheet-like material 12 is provided with: the sheet-like material 12; a winding shaft; a winding device winding the sheet-like material 12; a stay 30; driving means moving a stay 30 along an unwinding direction of the sheet-like material 12; an engagement member 60 positioned at a position away from the winding device in the unwinding direction of the sheet-like material 12 and engaging the stay 30 in an energized status in such a state that the sheet-like material 12 is unwound; and an engagement release member 80 movable to the stay 30 in a connected status to the driving means to release the status where the engagement member 60 is engaged with the stay 30 by moving with respect to the stay 30 before the stay 30 moves when the driving means moves the stay 30 in a winding direction of the sheet-like material 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
