To provide a method for protecting and repairing a steel material in a short period at a low cost, capable of performing protection and repair including rust prevention and corrosion prevention, and hardly generating a pinhole.SOLUTION: A method for protecting and repairing a steel material comprises the steps of: preparing a steel material 2 and an adhesive sheet 1 including a weather resistant film layer 11 having flexibility and rust and corrosion prevention properties and an adhesive layer 12 provided on one side of the weather resistant film layer 11 and having flexibility before and after adhesion; adjusting a base material of the steel material 2; and sticking the adhesive sheet 1 to the adjusted base material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
