WATERPROOF CONSTRUCTION METHOD AND WATERPROOF CONSTRUCTION STRUCTURE OF BRIDGE EXPANSION PART
To provide a waterproof construction method for a bridge expansion part that can be easily and quickly waterproofed without requiring skill and can be constructed regardless of the size of the bridge at a low cost.SOLUTION: Provided is a waterproof construction method that prevents water from entering a bridge expansion part 3, installed at a boundary between bridge girders 2, 2 that constitute a bridge or at the boundary between the bridge girder 2 and a parapet of the bridge that supports one end of the bridge girder 2 at both ends of the bridge, for absorbing the expansion and contraction of a bridge girder 2 due to changes in temperature. A covering member 12, having heat resistance to resist the heat of a pavement during paving of a road surface and pressure resistance to resist deformation by a vehicle traveling on a road surface 4, is prepared.
