To provide a window and a window assembling method, in which a batten having a function of preventing shrinkage due to aging or heat can be easily attached to a window frame side without being restricted by dimensional accuracy.SOLUTION: A window 10 of the present invention includes a bracket 60 for fixing a batten 16 to a batten groove 20. The batten 16 has engaging portions 62 on at least both ends in the longitudinal direction. The bracket 60 has an engaged portion 54 that is detachably engaged with the engaging portion 62, and a fixing portion 56 that is located between a double glazing 14 and a face bar groove 18 and fixed to the face bar groove 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
