SHORT STRUT
To provide a short strut that can be efficiently installed even if an excavation region is narrow.SOLUTION: A short strut 1 provided on an earth retaining support that is temporarily disposed on an excavation region has a rod-like inside strut member 3, a cylindrical first outside strut member 4 screwed on one side in an axial direction of the inside strut member 3, and a cylindrical second outside strut member 5 screwed on the other side in the axial direction of the inside strut member 3. A first male screw 33 and a second male screw 34 are formed on one side in the axial direction of the outer periphery and on the other side in the axial direction of the outer periphery, respectively, of the inside strut member 3. The first male screw 33 and the second male screw 34 are reverse to each other. A first female screw 43 to be screwed onto the first male screw 33 is formed on the inner periphery of the first outside strut member 4. A second female screw 53 to be screwed onto the second male screw 34 is formed on the inner periphery of the second outside strut member 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
