To provide: a strength improver for cement and an additive for cement, capable of improving strength of a hardened product of a cement composition significantly over a long period; the cement composition containing such additive for cement; and a method for improving cement strength, capable of improving the strength of the hardened product of the cement composition significantly over a long period.SOLUTION: An additive for cement according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises at least one selected from the group comprising: an emulsion (A) that contains polymer particles having glass transition temperature of 35°C to 100°C; an alkanolamine compound (B); and a retarder (C).SELECTED DRAWING: None
