To provide a partition wall in which a runner fixing component can be easily and properly attached to a column at a construction site and in which a runner can be properly disposed with respect to the column.SOLUTION: A separation wall of a building includes a substrate hardware 10 (a runner fixing component) for fixing a vertical runner 4 constituting the separation wall to a steel column 2 of the building. In the steel column 2, an engaging portion which engages with the substrate hardware 10 is formed. The substrate hardware 10 comprises: a fitting portion detachably attached to the engaging portion; a fixing portion to which the vertical runner 4 is fixed; and a connection portion 13 connecting the fitting portion with the fixing portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
